📄 What Is an EIC?
An Electrical Installation Certificate, usually called an EIC, is issued when new electrical installation work has been completed. It confirms that the work has been designed, installed, inspected and tested against the relevant electrical safety requirements.
An EIC is normally linked to new work, not old wiring. For example, it may be issued after a complete rewire, a new consumer unit installation, a new circuit, or a major electrical installation in a property.
